Reflections is a long-standing National PTA program that helps students celebrate their creativity. By exploring their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, students will develop their artistic literacy and increase their confidence.

We hope all Cascade Ridge students create an original work of art in one (or all!) of six available categories.

This year, the theme for Reflections is “I matter because...”

Each category has different entry rules. Please read them carefully before submitting.
  • MUSIC COMPOSITION is the process of creating a new piece of music. The composer (student submitting entry) is a person who expresses their own thoughts and ideas through the use of sound. The student composer may submit an entry performed by an individual or group and/or make use of a sound library generated performance of a composed score. Student composers are not required to perform their composition. Entry rules: https://www.wastatepta.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Music-Composition-Rules-20-21.pdf
  • PHOTOGRAPHY is the process of creating an image. The photographer (student submitting entry) is a person who captures their own thoughts and ideas with a camera. By focusing on objects using various lenses, filters and light sources, photographers may demonstrate the use of photographic techniques conventionally or digitally. Entry rules: https://www.wastatepta.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Photography-Rules-20-21.pdf
Please keep your original work. Entries that will be advancing to the district level will be collected after initial judging is complete.

The deadline for student entries is Nov. 2.
Upload your completed entry form and a picture or video of your art here:
