Everything you need to know about the Adventure On Fundraiser & Community Event!

This event is our MAJOR FUNDRAISER of the school year, and is our way of kicking off the year with a fun community gathering! Fundraising takes place in the weeks leading up to the event (September 11th-22nd) and the event is our means of celebrating all the efforts by coming together as a community! Fundraising will be done online.

Your PTSA donations support the many educational programs, events and grants we offer throughout our school. To provide the support to our school and children, to make certain programs and events possible, and to bridge the gap between public funds and actual expenses, we need to raise money. Cascade Ridge PTSA funds over $67,000 in programs, equipment, classroom supplies, and services each year that benefit our students. Programs and events like Trunk or Treat, Science Fair, Art Docents, and many others would not exist without PTSA funds.

When and where is the event?

The event is on Friday, September 22nd from 5-7pm on Cascade Ridge school grounds.

This is a family event, so please plan to attend with your child or send them with a responsible adult. Friends and family are welcome to join! Your child should go home from school as usual on the 22nd, and then return with family or chaperones at 5pm.

What activities will be available for students and families to participate in and enjoy?

This year's theme is Adventure On: a community celebration of exploration, creativity, and learning, with a nod to the adventurous spirit of the PNW!

Our students and families can enjoy many varied activities at the event, including:

  • Scavenger Hunt: Grab a map and complete our scavenger hunt! You'll have a chance to try out various arts and crafts at "Camp Creativity", games and physical activities at "Camp Rec," sensory, exploration and chill out activities at "Camp Mindful" and science and nature exhibits at "Camp Exploration."
  • Camp Music Director (aka DJ): Get in the groove with your fellow Coyotes as you dance to tunes spun by a professional DJ.
  • Stargaze & "Camp Out": Join us under the stars inside and "camp out" in the cafe/gymnasium!
  • Musical Cakes: People can purchase a chance to win a cake/dessert in our musical cake game.
  • Dine Out at the Mess Hall: Explore savory and sweet food trucks from around the globe. Enjoy dinner with the whole fam!
  • Auction: Check out our Silent Auction items & bid directly from the event (the auction itself will continue through Sunday, September 24th).
  • Other activities: Photo Booth, Face Painting & more!

What is the suggested donation for Cascade Ridge families?

We are aiming to raise $55,000 this year to fund the many programs PTSA supports.

It costs an average of $150 per student annually to fund the programs, events and grants that the PTSA supports. Your donation will help us to meet our goal and continue to support education, advocacy, fun and community building at Cascade Ridge.

How do I donate?

You may donate via e-check or credit card on our CheddarUp site: Adventure On Fall Fundraiser 2023

You may also donate via cash or check by first submitting the donation form on CheddarUp and ticking the box for cash/check. After the form is submitted, cash and checks (made payable to Cascade Ridge PTSA) can be submitted to the black PTSA collection box in the school lobby. Please be sure to place all your donations in a sealed envelope clearly marked with your child’s name and teacher name.

When is my donation due?

The donation site is open now and will stay open until September 22nd!

What will my child receive as an incentive for my donation?

  • School: We will have a school-wide fundraising goal of $55,000. If we meet this goal, we will host a special assembly a few weeks after the event! Our principal Ms. Sehlin, along with special faculty guests, will take part in a student-designed obstacle course!
  • Classroom: The top class in Grades K/1, top class in Grades 2/3 and top class in grades 4/5 (by participation %) will receive an added reward! The class will have an in class camp-out with treats provided by the PTSA!
  • Individual: All students, regardless of donation or donation size, will receive an Adventure On enamel pin as well as a free Adventure On t-shirt!

Can other people donate to support the PTSA’s educational programs?

Of course! Grandma’s, grandpas, friends, local businesses- anyone can support our children’s education! The Community Donation page is the place to go to donate: Community Adventure On Donation Page

My company has a donation fund-matching program. How do I take advantage of this?

Did you know that many companies will match their employee's charitable contributions?

You can maximize the impact of your donation by registering your donation with your employer. A matching gift program is a type of corporate giving program that essentially matches some or all of an employee's initial donation to a nonprofit organization. If your employer is one of the generous companies that offers this program, please remember to notify your employer of the donation.

Does my child have to collect donations to participate in the Adventure On event?

No, it is free for ANY student and their families to participate!

Spirit Week at Cascade Ridge

The week of the Adventure On event (September 18th-22nd) will be a spirit week at Cascade Ridge. We will be celebrating with fun spirit days each day! Participation is optional.

Musical Cakes

We will host Musical Cakes is simple: participants buy a chance for $2 and as music plays, participants walk around a large circle of numbers. When the music stops, a number is randomly drawn from a container and the person standing on the number drawn wins the dessert of their choice. It’s a sweet deal!

We need your donations to make this a success! You can sign up to donate a cake/sweet treat here.

All donations will be collected the morning of Friday, September 22nd and should be delivered in front of the school in a disposable container, plate or pan. Store bought only, please and nothing that requires refrigeration. We have lots of students with food allergies so a clear ingredients label is important. Thank you!

Silent Auction

Bid on amazing items in our Silent Auction! The Silent Auction is open through Sunday, September 24th at 7pm. Kids LOVE our teacher and staff experiences- be sure to check those out! Each teacher has an experience available, as do our specialists, Principal, Dean & Counselor.

Bid on the opportunity to get double the library check outs, P.E. Teacher for a Day, a VIP theater experience, lunch with the Principal & Dean and much more!

Be sure to also check out and bid on vacation retreats, gift baskets, gift cards and more from our community partners.
