This Saturday May 5, 30 students from Cascade Ridge will participate in the Washington State Math Olympiad in Seattle. They’ve been working hard all year long to prepare for this event, where they will compete against other elementary and middle schools from across the state. Students should bring a card for their teacher. If you have a child in SAGE, Reading Explorers, OT/PT, SLP, Coyote Club, Math Club, Spanish or any other specialist/program, this is the day to have your child send in a thank you to them. Any card will be great - homemade, store purchased, a note card - anything goes here. Be sure to put the teacher/staff name on the card or envelope so they can be easily sorted. Students wear their teachers' favorite colors. There is no need to purchase anything for this. Please have your student get creative. They could wear a bandanna, socks, or a hair bow to add the color. Or, as another suggestion, cut out a construction paper shape and pin it on a shirt.
