WELCOME!!  A MESSAGE FROM OUR PTSA PRESIDENT:

Welcome to the Cascade Ridge PTSA website! It’s one more tool the PTSA is giving you to make it easier to stay informed about what’s going on at school* – whether you want to know about an upcoming event, you’re looking for volunteer opportunities, or you want to provide feedback on a PTSA program.  Throughout the year, the website will be updated weekly to provide the latest information and forms that you need and might have missed from the Howler or Yelp.

We invite every parent, teacher, community member, and local business to join with us in supporting our school and working to improve the health, welfare, safety, and education of our children.  We want all kids to feel welcome and supported at Cascade Ridge Elementary, at home, and in our community.

Making this happen takes everyone’s involvement.  Make note of our upcoming family events and try to attend any that you can.  Encourage your children to participate in our educational programs, such as  Eager Reader, our before- and after-school Enrichment Program, or the Science Fair.  Offer your time and talents in the classroom, at the school, and for PTSA activities.  If you haven’t already, become a PTSA member and encourage your family and friends to join also.   Support PTSA fundraisers, such as our Innisbrook Giftwrap sale from Sept 23 - Oct 7 and our May 19th Walk-A-Thon.   Get to know the school and its wonderful staff. All these help to build the fabric of our community that enfolds our kids.

Mission Statement

 

The Cascade Ridge PTSA’s mission is to support our community, students, parents, and staff as we strive to achieve our shared academic and life-skill goals for all our students.  We do this by providing meaningful programs, an enthusiastic volunteer corps and financial support to our school.

 

2007 – 2008 School Year Goals

 

For the 2007 – 2008 school year, this means we will:

 

  • Advocate for the success of our children by sponsoring, coordinating and promoting activities that enrich our fundamental curriculum

 

  • Strive to create an environment that fosters school community participation and unity.  We will work to identify interests and programs to increase participation in PTSA and school activities including families of various cultural backgrounds, families with younger students and participation by fathers and other family members.

 

  • Continue to promote service opportunities for parents and students to provide outreach to community populations outside our school.  These  programs to include:
    • Caring through Sharing
    • K-Kids
    • Mentoring/partnership opportunities with other area schools

 

  • Ensure timely and effective lines of communication among PTSA, staff and parents of Cascade Ridge Elementary through vehicles including:
    • Redesign and improvement of the Cascade Ridge PTSA website
    • Transition to electronic-based communications including our weekly and monthly news updates
    • Partnering with Cascade Ridge Elementary to investigate feasibility of a reader board

 

  • Reach 100% PTSA Membership through education of our school community as to the functions, volunteer opportunities and benefits of participation in the Cascade Ridge PTSA.

 

 

We will raise the funds needed and provide leadership to implement and support our goals.
