A new school year = a new Safety Patrol Team. Mrs. Paula was thrilled to be able to have a team of 13 amazing 5th graders as her Safety Patrol Trainers. These dedicated 5th graders started off the first 2 weeks of school year by working on the Safety Patrol team. The following week our dedicated team of 13 started the process of training the newly recruited 37 team members. By Friday, October 10, our entire Safety Patrol team of 50 members will have served at least one week’s worth of duties, and will have been trained in a variety of positions on the team.

A huge THANK YOU to our dedicated 13 trainers, to the newly recruited 37 members, and to their families for making the commitment to help get their Safety Patroller to school early, and stay late. WE APPRECIATE ALL OF YOU!

“Many hands make light the work”....

Although we have a dedicated team of student volunteers, we still find that we are in need of parent volunteers to help in during the morning drop off in these areas:

1. Keeping the traffic flowing in the parking lot
2. Re-directing those who try to turn left out of the parking lot

It is simple, supports our hard working patrollers, and is fun to do with a friend!
• It is a 20-minute commitment (8:10a-8:30a).
• We are flexible…. volunteer once a month, once a week, or once every 2 weeks, or ?? – we are flexible!
• It will make a BIG impact on traffic flow, and safety.

Please email me at [[psfranklin@comcast.net:  mailto:  psfranklin@comcast.net]] if you can support our team, and I will
ensure you are trained, scheduled according to your availability, and supplied with a fashionable Safety Patrol vest, too.
Each month the Safety Corner will communicate safety tips / feedback from the community/ and address safety questions and concerns. Your feedback and questions are welcome! Contact: [[psfranklin@comcast.net:  mailto:  psfranklin@comcast.net]].
