Monday March 3rd - Teachers will read aloud a Dr. Seuss book and every student will receive a Read Across America Eraser. Students will also receive a Dr. Seuss bookmark when they come to library this week.
Tuesday March 4th - One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish If fish can be blue, well so can you! Today at school, wear red or blue! Not just students, but teachers too! Each class will be given picture books related to one of the fifty states. After reading the books, the class will place the “book cover” on a United States map displayed outside the library. By the end of the day Cascade Ridge will have Read Across America!!
Wednesday March 5th - Oh, the Places You’ll Go “Congratulations! Today is your day. You’re off to Great Places! You’re off and away!” Do you want to be a scientist, a doctor, or a baseball player? A teacher, a nurse, or even the mayor? A chef, an actor, or an electrical engineer? Today at school, dress up as your future career!
Thursday March 6th - Fox in Socks Silly Socks on your feet just can’t be beat! Stripes, polka dots, or swirls, Colorful socks for all boys and girls! Today at school, wear a pair of silly socks!
Friday March 7th - Cat in the Hat The sun did not shine. It was too wet to play. What did we do? We read a good book that day! Join the Cat and put on a hat. It’s Kid in the Hat day. Today at school, wear a fun hat! Cascade Ridge will Drop Everything and Read! The whole school will be spilling out into the halls on sometime on Friday to cuddle up with a good book.
