We find ourselves in a very enviable position as a PTSA where through our ongoing cost-conscious management of our budget and our hard-working Fundraising volunteers and community members, we have some extra money to spend. It is now up to the General Membership to set our spending priorities for these extra funds. At our General Membership meeting on January 27th, we will be reviewing ideas from the membership, including the school staff and administration, about how to spend some of our excess funds.

Because time is of the essence to spend these funds so current children in the school can benefit, before that meeting, we would like to have some initial ideas generated and submitted for consideration. If we can get enough information and research presented for multiple options, during the January meeting, we can make solid decisions right away. Otherwise, the January meeting will focus on narrowing the list to a manageable number, and assigning teams to further research each idea prior to a following GM meeting (either a special meeting in February or at the next GM meeting in March) where we will discuss the research and vote on the best options.

This process allows the General Membership to have a consolidated voice in the discussion, and we want strong participation to ensure all great ideas are reviewed and considered. The sooner the ideas are brought forth, the sooner we can act, so please send any ideas or questions you have to Tina Yerges, PTSA President at or 425-557-0606. To participate in the process, you must be a PTSA member, so be sure to complete the membership package online if you havenā€˜t done so already.
