Passive Fundraising is a term used for making easy money for the school. Generally speaking, these are fundraising methods that don’t cost you, Cascade Ridge Parents, anything extra. No need to open your wallets and write a check AGAIN. However, they do require a little pre-planning.

Car Wash Tickets: The number one way the school can raise money quickly and make money off a purchase that you were already going to make is BROWN BEAR CAR WASHES. We sell the tickets for $5 each and we make $3.50 off of each one. Please consider stocking up on some and keeping them in your wallet for the next sunny day, or give them as gifts or employee incentives. Send an email to dverrue@msn.com with the amount of tickets, child’s name, teacher’s name, and mark “car wash” in the check memo or on the front of the envelope and then put a check for the corresponding amount in the PTSA’s black box in the school’s foyer.

Additional ways we can earn extra dollars for our school:

BOX TOPS: Look for this small logo on items you were already going to purchase, cut them out, put your child’s name and teacher on the back and have your kids deposit them in our collection box (also in the school’s foyer). We will be offering small incentives for those that participate in this program throughout the year.

INK CARTRIDGES: Used ink-jet cartridges are collected and recycled and turned in for cash that our school can use for other programs.

eScrip: eScrip is a program that requires a simple credit/debit card registration process. Once your card is registered, the school receives a percentage of your purchases at local retailers. The two biggest participants are Safeway and Whole Foods. If you shop regularly at either of these two stores, please consider registering your card on this safe and secure website so that the school may capture these contributions with absolutely no cost to you! The PTSA is offering a free car wash for the first 20 families that register a card on eScrip in the month of October. Visit escrip.com for more details and/or to register.
