That's double what we brought in last year and need less than $200 to reach our yearly goal of $1,000. Every single class participated which made it such a success. Our top contributors:
1st Place: Shawver - $42.40
2nd Place: Perry - $39.20
3rd Place: Page - $36.10
4th Place: Trull - $31.00
The winning class won cupcakes at lunch. Each individual child who contributed received a small prize. Please keep clipping and saving Box Tops in preparation for our winter Box Tops drive. Watch for details to come. Thank you!

|PTSA Membership Update||
PTSA Membership UpdateOne of our annual PTSA goals is to continue Cascade Ridge PTSA’s record of having at least one PTSA member for every student in the school. This is called "100% Membership" and I am pleased to announce that we have reached this goal already this year. This is quite an accomplishment and it sends the message that the Cascade Ridge community recognizes the collective voice that PTSA provides on behalf of our students; we are serious about representing every student in our school to ensure that each student is given every opportunity available to be successful in their academic careers. Thank you to every PTSA member!
If you haven’t had a chance to join the PTSA and be part of a great organization that celebrates and supports every Cascade Ridge student, it’s not too late! Sign up at www.cascaderidgeptsa.org. You’ll be glad you did!

|Batty Box Top Collection Sheets due Friday, 10/25!||
Batty Box Top Collection Sheets due Friday, 10/25!Cascade Ridge is going Batty for Box Tops! We're hoping to earn $1,000+ this year in Box Tops, so help us reach our goal. Money raised will go to the PTSA Programs Fund. It's easy and fun! You can help by doing the following:
• Print the Box Top Collection sheet from this link.
• Have your child glue or tape (no staples) Box Tops under each bat. Please check expiration dates. One full page will earn $1.00 for the school. If each student turns in one filled page, that would be $500+. Turn in as many pages as you would like. Partially filled pages are acceptable. Post it on your fridge as a reminder.
• Turn them into your classroom Box Top box by next Friday, 10/25.
• The class with the most Box Tops collected will win a prize. Each individual student who turns in a sheet will receive a small prize. Prizes will be given at lunch time.
Let's get Batty for Box Tops and see how many we can find and turn in!

Our school counselor, Meredith Osborne, will deliver a presentation on bullying centered on the comprehensive approach “Take a Stand Against Bullying” that is utilized by all schools in the Issaquah School District. She will provide parents with information about bullying and include definitions, the effects of bullying, warning signs to look for, and recommendations about what parents can do if they suspect their child is being bullied or is using bullying behavior.
In addition to Mrs. Osborne’s presentation, Ron Thiele, the Superintendent of the Issaquah School District, will discuss the three levies coming up for a vote in Issaquah in February and why they are so important to our school and the community. Don’t miss the opportunity to hear directly from Mr. Thiele and ask any questions you may have. |Fifth Grade Camp Fundraiser Vote||
Fifth Grade Camp Fundraiser VoteHello 5th grade parents ... One of the first things we need to decide on as a group is whether we would like to have all the students participate in a fundraiser to offset their camp fee which will be $235 per student. The money raised will be divided equally among the students. Several years ago students raised enough to offset their fees by $80 per child. Some of the activities students have done: Cookie sale, wrapping paper. Of course if we should decide to have a fundraiser we will need to have someone volunteer to coordinate.
We will be voting online this year as many of you could not attend the meeting on Thursday night. The voting site will be open from now until Monday morning. HERE IS THE LINK. Please let us know and VOTE.
Also, if you missed the meeting Thursday night, the full presentation is here.

Our goal is to wrap up within an hour and still allow time for your questions throughout the meeting. If you have a topic of particular interest to you, please email Ann Brooks prior to Wednesday and we will do our best to address your topic. Please know we are always available to answer additional questions offline after the meeting!

Once you have pre-registered, participant names will be drawn at random and you will be notified of your child’s status Friday, 10/4. If your child is selected to attend, you will be given directions on how to complete registration and pay for the class. This process ensures that each student has an equal opportunity for each program. For details about the fall programs, click here. Questions? Contact Kelly Huber at email@example.com.
